MCA's application for Cambourne West is an outline application. This means that the application seeks to establish the principle of the development of the site. MCA are seeking planning permission for:

  • Up to 2,350 new homes including affordable and market housing
  • Land for the provision of two new primary school and one secondary school
  • Land for the provision of community and sports facilities
  • Land for the provision of A-A5 retail uses
  • Land for Employment
  • The creation of three new vehilce access points
  • A network of cycle and pedestrian routes
  • Provision of a Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SuDS)
  • Open space and landscaping

  • As part of this application MCA developments have submitted a Illustrative Masterplan which shows one way on which the development could be laid out. Following discussions with SCDC and local stakeholder a number of amendments have been made to the layout of the masterplan. SCDC is currently running a consultation on these proposed changes.
